Alongside colour, scent and form sound is one of the fundamental experiences in the great outdoors. We often stop and listen and take in our surrounds.

What was the sound in the Black Mountains and along the River Llynfi?

The sound was ambient and energetic. We chose this Creative Commons track by Sale to depict the blustery and still 3 days we spent exploring the River Llynfi in the Brecon Beacons National Park. The image is taken at our Bivvy site on the side of Bryniog (300 M - 984 Ft) nr Pen Alt Mawr at (720 M - 2,360 Ft). Overlooking the village of Cwmdu the site was spectacular in terms of views.
